Welcome to HemOncBytes! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform. By creating an account, accessing, or using HemOncBytes, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
- Eligibility & Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed healthcare professional, trainee, or student to use HemOncBytes. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. - Membership Plans & Free Trials
- Free Trial — We offer a complimentary free trial with full access and no long-term commitment.
- Paid Plans — After the trial, you may purchase one of our membership plans. Prices, features, and renewal terms are described on the pricing page. Paid plans auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
- Low-Resource Country Access — Verified Hematology and Oncology trainees in WHO-HINARI designated low-resource countries receive free access during their trainee status.
- License & Acceptable Use
HemOncBytes grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for your personal professional development. You agree not to:- Resell, distribute, or share content beyond fair-use educational purposes;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code;
- Upload viruses, spam, or harmful content;
- Use the Platform to provide commercial services competitive with HemOncBytes;
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Intellectual Property
All content on HemOncBytes—including text, graphics, videos, interactive questions, trademarks, and the Bytes Method—is owned by or licensed to HemOncBytes and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not reproduce or create derivative works. - Medical Disclaimer
HemOncBytes provides educational content for informational purposes only. The Platform does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and is not a substitute for professional judgment. You remain solely responsible for clinical decisions and patient care. - User Content & Feedback
If you submit comments, questions, or other content (“User Content”), you grant HemOncBytes a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and adapt such content to improve the Platform. You represent that you have the right to grant this license. - Third-Party Links
The Platform may link to external websites or resources. HemOncBytes is not responsible for the availability or accuracy of such external content and does not endorse it. - Termination
You may cancel your account at any time via your dashboard or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms or to comply with legal obligations. Upon termination, sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive. - Disclaimer of Warranties
HemOncBytes is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content is complete, current, or accurate. - Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HemOncBytes shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to HemOncBytes in the 12 months preceding the claim. - Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HemOncBytes and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms. - Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflicts-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. - Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Platform or emailed to you. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. - Contact
